Our restaurant is located in the Wachau World Heritage Site, right where the Venus of Willendorf was found. We, Florian & Christian Mistelbauer, offer you classic Austrian cuisine and are happy to fulfil your wishes.

Gasthof zur Venus

It is considered a landmark of the region: the Venus of Willendorf. In the middle of the world cultural heritage right in Willendorf is the Gasthof zur Venus named after her. This looks back on a similarly long history.

The Mistelbauer brothers

The brothers Christian and Florian Mistelbauer took over the "Gasthof zur Venus" in 2024. With their experiences gained in different restaurants, they complement each other ideally.

Chef de cuisine

Florian Mistelbauer

As chef de cuisine, Florian is responsible for the excellent dishes. He acquired his skills and ideas for modern but down-to-earth cuisine for several years in the Schlossküche Walpersdorf and, among other places, in the Landhaus Bacher.

Restaurant manager

Christian Mistelbauer

As restaurant manager, Christian is the first point of contact for our guests. He spent a few years in the Hofbräu Krems and in the Schlossküche Walpersdorf. He has continually expanded his knowledge of wine and is therefore available to you at any time.
